this and that

well back again went to my first APL game for the year friday night there was a bunch of new players since i last played a few months ago , i had forgotten the wild swings the hands they play so had to tighten up my play a lot, some hands played made me scratch my head like all in with jack - 5 and 10-6 suited ,it was like that all night, i had a great hand just before the break to almost triple up that got me thru to the second break , ended up hitting a full house as the other player hit an ace high flush and they went all in with another all in at the table too with a straight so it wasn't all that bad finished in 11th spot from 40 players to end the night.
in these pub league games you'll hear a lot of talk from players some telling you how to play others saying what they would of had if they played and others just insulting you if you beat them etc etc. the type of player i get a laugh at and i saw this the other night is the one that has gotten themselves short stacked and pushes all in with anything saying" i just want to go home" but if they win they start folding and playing properly again never understood that if you want to go why not just leave the chips at the table and get blinded out and go home?. oh well

only had a few small bets yesterday on the horses just to muck around seeing as it was my off pay week,so only a few $2 place bets for a bit of fun spent $14 on bets ended up getting 3 from 7 kind of rushed them a bit when picking but ended up getting $12 back so only lost $2 for the day all for fun so not too bad.
ended up getting a phone call from dad that night saying he picked the winner in the blue diamond and it paid $20 ,told him ya old bugga kept that to yaself didn't ya? ,might have to ring him for some tips next time .
